Smoothie bowls can be a good source of fiber, protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats to help jump start your day. Refuel you after a hard work out or even a great source to sneak in super foods that may not be tasty on their own.
Compared to juicing, smoothie bowls retain the fiber from fruits and vegetables, which helps you to feel full longer. I personally love smoothies and smoothie bowls a few times a week but if not careful it can quickly turn into high calories sugar bombs.
Here's what you need
1 Dragon Fruit (Frozen smoothie pack)
Splash of Apple Juice or Almond milk
Add frozen fruit, 1 banana, yogurt and a splash of apple juice to blender.
Process until fruit is broken down with a soft smooth consistency.
Fruits must be frozen if you want a thick ice cream texture
Fill your bowl up and top it with your favorite toppings.
As seen in picture I used Fresh fruit, Granola and Shaved Almonds.
